Life expectancy in Russia in 2022 increased to 72.6 years, while infant mortality decreased. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova following a meeting on the implementation of the national project “Health”, according to the website of the Government.
Golikova also said that within the framework of the national project, more than 1.6 thousand primary care facilities have been created, 1.4 million operations of high-tech medical care have been performed. Within the framework of the federal project “Modernization of primary health care” in 2023, it is planned to build 497 new facilities, purchase 21 buildings and 736 prefabricated modules. Major repairs will be carried out in 1752 buildings.
As Parlamentskaya Gazeta wrote, during the plenary session of the State Duma on November 23, 2022, Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko said that the main task of domestic healthcare in the current conditions is to achieve the national goal of life expectancy of Russians up to 78 years by 2030.
