Life expectancy in Russia increased last year and now stands at 72.6 years.

Infant mortality rates have also declined. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Tatyana Golikova.

“As part of the national project, in 2022 the life expectancy indicator increased to 72.6 years, infant mortality decreased,” she stressed.

In addition, over the past year, 1.4 million high-tech medical care operations were performed in the country. And as part of the federal project “Modernization of Primary Health Care” more than 1.6 thousand facilities have already been built.

According to Golikova, it is planned to create 497 new facilities in 2023. Another 1,752 buildings will be overhauled.
