Tbilisi, February 12, 2023, 18:04 — REGNUM In the region of Samtskhe-Javakheti in the south of Georgia, on the evening of February 12, an earthquake of magnitude 3.1 occurred. This was reported by the press service of the National Center for Seismic Monitoring.
According to the center, the ground vibrations occurred at 17:55 Tbilisi time (16:55 Moscow time). The epicenter was located two kilometers from the city of Akhalkalaki and one kilometer from the village of Diliska.
The source was located at a depth of five kilometers. There is no information about casualties and damage. This was the third earthquake in the current day.
Recall that on February 12, two earthquakes also occurred in western Georgia. Tremors of magnitude 4.4 and 3.3 occurred with a difference of 14 minutes near the village of Gomi in the province of Guria.
