In the Myshkinsky district of the Yaroslavl region, an explosion occurred on the reserve branch of the gas pipeline, RIA Novosti reports with reference to emergency services. There were no casualties.
The incident occurred near the village of Yeremeitsevo, a fire was reported. “After the arrival of the first units at the call site, it was established that a gas pipeline with a diameter of about one meter had broken,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
TASS, citing Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta, notes that gas is supplied to consumers in full through parallel lines.
Earlier, on February 13, a fire was reported on a gas pipeline in the Nyuksensky district of the Vologda region. The head of the district, Igor Chugreev, explained that the incident took place on the Ukhta-Torzhok transit gas pipeline, to which there are no connections in the Vologda Oblast. “The fire was extinguished by the forces of KS-15, the local fire department and the arrived forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were on site for possible assistance. Gas transportation was transferred to a reserve line, ”the official noted.
