Representatives of the ruling Moldovan presidential party “Action and Solidarity” (PDS) are holding consultations today, February 13, at which they discuss the composition of the new cabinet of ministers, which will be headed by Dorin Recean.

Local media, referring to their sources in the political formation, say that the portfolios will definitely be kept by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu PopescuHead of Agriculture and Food Industry Vladimir Bolyaas well as the Minister of Economy Dmitry Alaiba.

According to MP Radu Marianaas early as tomorrow, February 14, Rechan’s cabinet may be sworn in.

“Now we are conducting discussions, consultations, the process is coming to an end, in the coming days we will announce a decision. The new government will work on the basis of the priorities identified by the Cabinet of Ministers of Gavrilitsa,” Marian confirmed.

Remember, Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilitsa On February 10, she announced her resignation from her position without explanation. On the same day, the President of the Republic of Moldova Maya Sandu nominated Secretary of the Security Council Dorin Recean for this position.

The PDS confirmed that the basis of the new cabinet will be ministers from the previous government, but some changes are possible. Thus, the Minister of Regional Development Andrei Spinu will not retain his position, today he was appointed Secretary General of the President’s Office.

As reported EADaily since the arguments for the resignation of Natalia Gavrilitsa are not clear, and the composition of the new government will not change significantly, the appointment of its chairman passed without public discussions – political observers in Moldova believe that the prime minister could become a political victim to preserve the image of the president and government.
