Events in Donbass by 15:00 on February 12: Armed Forces withdraw forces behind Zherebets, Kyiv uses NATO mines in the LPR

The international edition of the Federal News Agency reports on the situation in the Donbass by this hour.

Donetsk People’s Republic

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) began a partial withdrawal units from the turn of Makeevka – Terny – Yampolovka to Liman and Kramatorsk, fearing the loss of pontoon and bridge crossings across the Stallion River. Eliminating the threat to the bridgehead on the left bank is practically impossible due to the withdrawal of significant forces near Bakhmut and Ugledar, as well as the losses of the 66th and 25th brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a result of artillery fire and the offensive of the RF Armed Forces in the areas of Yampolovka and Balka Zhuravka.

In Marinka, the street is not weakening fights, during which both sides combine the actions of infantry and armored vehicles. At the moment, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding the western outskirts of the suburbs of Donetsk, fighting for every house and basement.

In Bakhmut (Artemovsk), fighting continues in the north, northeast, southeast and south of the city. To the south there are clashes for Krasnoe and in the area of Stupochka near Clock Yar.

It is too early to talk about the operational encirclement of the Bakhmut grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: the road from Chasy Yar is still available for supply and the transfer of reinforcements.

Luhansk People’s Republic

The RF Armed Forces are advancing in the area of Belogorovka and are trying to advance towards Zarechny. The Armed Forces of Ukraine launched an unsuccessful counterattack near Novoselovsky.

Scout of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation told on the use by Kyiv of European mines in the Kremennaya area. They are scattered on the square using cluster munitions of three pieces each. Having descended on parachutes, they expect a certain level of vibration or some movement in the vicinity, after which they detonate.

Meanwhile, about 150 young residents of the LPR took part in cross cross-country, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Lugansk from Nazi invaders. The organizer was the Republican Center for Children and Youth Tourism and Local History, the event took place on the territory of the memorial complex “Sharp Grave”.
