Died three-time Olympic champion in kayaking Vladimir Morozov

Three-time Olympic champion in kayaking, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR Vladimir Ivanovich Morozov died at the age of 82. This was reported on February 10 by the press service of the All-Russian Federation of rowing and canoeing.

“His close friends and sports colleagues remember him as a man with an iron will, strong, purposeful and with a great desire to fight to the end”the message says.

The federation expressed condolences to his relatives and friends. The funeral is scheduled for today, February 10th.

Recall that Vladimir Morozov won the Olympic Games in 1964 and 1972 in rowing in a kayak-four, and also in 1968 in a kayak-two. His full namesake lives in Moscow Vladimir Ivanovich Morozov, who is also a three-time world champion in kayaking. He is 70 years old.
