Chelyabinsk residents in January 2023 compared to the same period last year were three times more likely to buy apartments in Dubai (UAE). Most of all, Chelyabinsk residents are interested in studio apartments with an area of 70 square meters or more in the Russian-speaking areas of Marina and Palm Jumeirah, shared Evgeniy Verenko, real estate market expert at DAN Real Estate in Dubai.
“This year, compared to last year, Chelyabinsk residents have been acquiring apartments in Dubai three times more actively. Mostly representatives of business, IT-spheres and doctors were interested in real estate in the UAE. The Palm Jumeirah and Marina areas were the priority,” Verenko said.
The Marina area with skyscrapers and a man-made bay is one of the most fashionable. The inhabitants of Chelyabinsk are attracted to this area by the fact that the Russian-speaking population prevails here. However, the prices here are too high.
The Palm Jumeirah is one of three islands that add a total of 520 kilometers to Dubai’s coastline. This is the smallest artificial island in the form of a palm tree, consisting of a “trunk”, 16 “leaves” and a “crescent” – an 11-kilometer breakwater.
According to a real estate market expert with about 18 years of experience, in these areas, studio apartments with a bedroom area of 75 square meters and a cost of 25 million rubles are in great demand among Chelyabinsk residents. More affluent residents of Chelyabinsk can afford villas and townhouses, their cost starts from 50 million rubles.
