Officials from Yuryuzan (Chelyabinsk region), where pupils of schools and kindergartens freeze because of problems with heat supply, were offered to spend the night in problematic premises. This was announced by the head of the regional branch of the All-Russian Popular Front (ONF) Denis Ryzhiy.
“In thirty-degree frosts, the residents were left without heat. Children in kindergartens slept in warm jackets, schoolchildren were transferred to distance learning. We proposed one of the ways to deal with negligent officials: they themselves spend the night in a room where the temperature does not rise above eight degrees, ”said Denis Ryzhiy during the ONF stream.
Problems with heat supply in Yuryuzan were not solved for a long time. In January, local residents complained about the cold at the school, due to which students were transferred to distance learning. Prior to this, in December, a similar situation had developed in the kindergarten “Medvezhonok”. After the intervention of the prosecutor’s office, 21 batteries were installed there. ONF launched an investigation into the spending of funds allocated to the city for the modernization of the heat supply system. According to activists, only two of the promised four boiler houses have been launched.
