US President Joe Biden is confident that relations between the United States and China have not been seriously affected after the incident with a Chinese balloon that was shot down in American airspace.

According to the head of the White House, he personally discussed this issue with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and the conversation was also held by representatives of Washington with the team of the Chinese leader.

“I made it clear to Xi Jinping that we fully intend to compete with China, but we are not looking for a conflict with it. This remains relevant to this day,” — declared Biden in an interview with PBS.
