Azerbaijan reports 3.4 magnitude earthquake in Caspian Sea


An earthquake of magnitude 3.4 occurred in the Caspian Sea at a depth of 60 km. This is reported on site Republican Seismological Service Center of Azerbaijan.

From the data of the center it follows that the tremors were recorded at 14:19 (15:19 Moscow time). No damage has been reported.

There are about seven zones of high seismicity in the Caspian Sea. The Republican Seismological Service Center of Azerbaijan regularly reports on tremors in the Caspian Sea. So, on October 24, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 was reported. The epicenter of the shocks was at a depth of 61 km.
