A tourist route connected with the events of the Second World War appeared in Kislovodsk

Kislovodsk during the Great Patriotic War was a large-scale hospital base. For this, the city was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, I degree. Now a tourist route to places of military glory has been opened here.

As the publication writes “Evening Stavropol”, during the Second World War, all city sanatoriums were transferred to the mode of hospitals to provide assistance to the wounded. In total, over 600,000 soldiers of the Red Army were admitted to the hospitals in Kislovodsk during the war.

In the new route around the hospital city, everyone will be shown the only monument to medical heroes in the North Caucasus Federal District, the memorial complexes “Cranes” and “Military Glory” and other cultural heritage sites.

The new tour route was compiled for the 220th anniversary of the CMS region. The anniversary date is celebrated in 2023. A sightseeing bus with a pilot free tour starts on the route on Defender of the Fatherland Day, February 23.
