Fraudsters use bots to make reservations on the websites of visa agencies in order to resell them at a higher price.
After the start of the Special Military Operation in Ukraine, Russian citizens began to experience a number of difficulties in obtaining visas to the states of the European Union. This is due not only to the presence of restrictions on the part of Western states, but now also to this kind of fraud.
With the help of automatic bots, attackers reserve all the free places in the queues for submitting documents for obtaining a visa. Since the bots operate autonomously and quickly, many people simply do not have time to apply for a reservation.
Russians face such a problem when trying to apply for a visa to the most popular destinations: France, Italy and Spain, and bots can be freely purchased on the Internet or created independently by writing a fairly simple code.
