A mine brought by water exploded on the seashore in the Georgian city of Batumi. This was reported by TASS with reference to the TV company Rustavi 2.

According to the TV channel, the explosion occurred in the water, about 25 meters from the shore. As a result of the incident, no one was injured. The Georgian Interior Ministry has not yet commented on the incident.

Footage posted by eyewitnesses on social media shows that after the explosion, a powerful stream of water rose up.

The news is being supplemented

As Parlamentskaya Gazeta wrote, in March 2022, the FSB Public Relations Center reported that the Ukrainian Navy had installed about 420 mines on the approaches to the ports of Odessa, Ochakov, Chernomorsk and Yuzhny. The FSB warned that due to the poor condition of the cables, some mines fell off and began to drift. They may end up in the Bosphorus and further in the seas of the Mediterranean basin, the department noted.
