Media: Israeli Strike Hits Military Complex, Missile Factory in Iran

Israel allegedly targeted Iran‘s Parchin military complex and the Khojir missile production facility near Tehran.

Early Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated they had launched attacks on military sites in Iran in response to October 1 attacks on Israel.

According to CBS News, Israel’s strike focused solely on military targets, avoiding nuclear or oil facilities.

IRNA confirmed that Iran’s oil infrastructure remained unharmed. Sources on Axios claimed that the Israeli strike disrupted Iran’s ballistic missile production, damaging equipment used for solid fuel required in long-range missiles.

Reports from Reuters, citing former UN weapons inspector David Albright and CNA analyst Decker Eveleth, suggest Israel hit both the large Parchin military complex and the Khojir missile production center.

According to satellite images from Planet Labs, three buildings used for solid fuel production and a warehouse were destroyed in Parchin.

Albright noted that the low-resolution images revealed two of the damaged buildings were warehouses.

Previously, Fars news agency indicated that Israel struck several military sites in western and southwestern Tehran, while Tasnim reported that elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) bases remained undamaged.

Around 4:25 a.m. local time, a second series of explosions reportedly shook central Tehran, lasting about a minute.
