While the Dultsev family was imprisoned in Slovenia, they were largely deprived of the opportunity to see their children, according to Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president.

“When these illegals (the Dultsevs) were in prison, they were deprived of the opportunity to see their children regularly,” Peskov told journalists. “Although they were shown their children with a certain frequency, it was not as often as they would have liked. There was a real threat, if they had remained there, of losing their parental rights.”
