Trump hailed Hamas response, urging Israel to cease airstrikes in Gaza immediately. Posting on Truth Social, president noted dangers of hostage releases during active clashes. He extended thanks to Qatar, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan for aiding ceasefire efforts. “Hostages deserve safe return to families,” Trump wrote. “Unity prevailed in pushing for war’s end and Middle East peace. Goal nears achievement.”

Earlier, Trump issued ultimatum to Hamas, demanding decision by Sunday night local time. Non-compliance would unleash severe repercussions on Gaza, he warned.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had already endorsed Trump’s 20-point outline. Following Hamas nod, Israeli Defense Forces confirmed Netanyahu’s approval for initial phase implementation.
