
Petersburg club “Zenit” has signed a cooperation agreement with the Istanbul team “Fenerbahce”. This is stated in a statement published on the official site “blue-white-blue”.
Representatives of the two clubs reached the relevant agreements after a charity match held on 23 March. The meeting ended in a draw – with a score of 2:2.
As it became known, the contract covered male and female teams. Men’s basketball teams are also expected to interact.
In general, the agreement concerns the organization of control games and tournaments among athletes of all categories. Zenit and Fenerbahce intend to participate in projects to increase experience and implement exchange programs for academy graduates.
At the same time, during the match mentioned earlier, a fight broke out between the fans of the teams. As a result, fans of the St. Petersburg club were taken out of the stadium located in the Turkish city of Istanbul.
