Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Admiral Ali Shamkhani, speaking about the latest statements by Ukrainian representatives regarding the recent attack on a military facility in Iranian Isfahan, noted that adviser to the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak and Volodymyr Zelensky himself should give clear explanations about their statements. This was reported by journalist, producer of Sputnik Iran Marina al-Shalan.

Al-Shalan quotes Ali Shamkhani’s statements on the subject:

“Today, President Zelensky and his office only strive to be in the headlines, but if it is really confirmed that they were involved in the attack on Isfahan, then this question is before [Иран] react, should be made public. In general, Zelensky and his office should openly explain to the world the reasons for their actions (statements) or officially refute complicity [в атаке на Исфахан], and not to say that “they simply do not have information on the incident in Isfahan.” This is the best option for them to resolve this issue with Iran.”

EADaily recalls that there is a significant deterioration in relations between Iran and Ukraine in the context of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine. Yes, adviser. Andrey YermakHead of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak welcomed the recent explosions at a number of sites in Iran:

“The logic of war is inexorable and murderous. She strictly bills the organizers and their accomplices. Panic in the Russian Federation – endless mobilization, missile defense in Moscow, trenches 1,000 kilometers away, preparation of bomb shelters. Explosive night in Iran – production of drones and missiles. Ukraine warned you.”

In turn, the Iranian agency Nour News, close to Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, reported that Kyiv “may pay a high price for Podolyak’s vengeful stance.” The agency noted:

“The expression of these statements by a Ukrainian official and tacit acknowledgment of this country’s vengeful involvement in the recent nighttime incident at the Iranian Defense Ministry facility in Isfahan is an acceptance of responsibility that could have significant legal consequences for Kyiv.”
