Zakharova called Zelensky’s order on Muscovy an attempt to create “anti-Russia” from Ukraine

The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, believes that the instruction of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to study the issue of renaming Russia to Muscovy is evidence of an attempt to create “anti-Russia” from Ukraine.

“Bunker every day proves our case. Here is another evidence of an attempt to create “anti-Russia” from Ukraine,” Ms. Zakharova wrote in Telegram.

In an evening address on March 10, Volodymyr Zelensky responded to a petition to rename Russia to Muscovy (“Rosiya” to “Moskoviya”), instructing Prime Minister Denys Shmygal to study this issue. As Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted, this issue requires “careful study both in the plane of the historical and cultural context, and taking into account possible international legal consequences.”
