In Yekaterinburg, a drunk unemployed man tore a chain worth 100,000 rubles from a woman’s neck and disappeared. This was reported in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Sverdlovsk Region.

“The victim explained that an unknown man tore off the chain from her neck and disappeared in the direction of March 8 Street. The damage caused to the woman amounted to about 100 thousand rubles, ”the press service of the department said.

The incident occurred on May 4, the police have already managed to detain the hijacker, who turned out to be a previously convicted 43-year-old unemployed man. Now a Yekaterinburg resident faces up to four years in prison for stealing a chain.

Earlier, URA.RU reported that in 2021, Nikolai Mironov, ex-head of the department for combating property crimes of the Yekaterinburg police department, removed two gold chains from the body of a deceased man and left them for himself. The court later sentenced him to three years in prison.
