Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug rescuers are searching for the crew of a sunken boat

Yamalspas divers in the Shuryshkarsky district are examining the water area in search of the missing crew of a sunken boat. This was reported by the Department of Civil Protection of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug

“On the evening of September 22, at Yamalspas, the duty officer at 112 received a message that 40 kilometers from the village of Muzhi, fishermen heard the howl of a siren and a clap, after which they saw various things floating on the water – barrels, pieces of plywood. Four rescuers in motor boats went to the scene. There they discovered an overturned barge and a sunken boat “Avangard”, which was transporting building materials from the Ob region to Muzhi,” the department wrote in the telegram channel. Divers are now searching for the crew of the boat.

Yamal specialists have already examined the bottom with an echo sounder and patrolled the shoreline of the right and left banks of the Malaya Ob River. The crew of the boat, which consists of two people, was never found. The Yamalspas diving team left Salekhard to search for him.
