Xi Jinping to hold talks with Putin on March 21 and meet with Mishustin

According to the Parliamentary Newspaper, Xi Jinping’s visit began the day before with an informal meeting with Putin in the Kremlin. The Chinese President said that Beijing is ready to stand together with Moscow on guard of the world order based on international law. He noted that Russia has achieved great success and prosperity under Putin’s leadership, and expressed the hope that the Russians will support him in the next presidential election, which will be held in 2024.

The leaders of Russia and China will hold two rounds of talks, then they are scheduled to sign documents and press statements. It is expected that before the talks in the Kremlin, the Chinese President will also meet with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
