Shivraj Cabinet : Bhopal (State Bureau). The landless of Madhya Pradesh will be given land lease, while if there is no arrangement of drainage or toilet in the house, then a fine of five thousand rupees will be imposed. A decision on this proposal will be taken in the cabinet meeting to be chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday. Apart from this, other proposals will also be placed before the cabinet.
A proposal for a new excise policy may also come in the cabinet meeting. The excise policy has been delayed anyway. Liquor contracts will expire on March 31. Before this tenders for new contracts have to be held, this process will take time. In such a situation, after the approval of the Council of Ministers, a decision will be taken on the new excise policy.
Let us tell you that the cabinet meeting was to be held on February 13, but due to some reasons the meeting was canceled at that time.
Decision will be taken on three important proposals for bodies
In the present act, there is a provision of imprisonment of three months and fine for non-availability of drainage system. Considering it impractical, the Committee of Senior Secretaries had recommended its abolition, which was considered practical by Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh and approved the draft of the amendment bill.
– The provision of determining the route for taking the dead body to the crematorium or cemetery is also being abolished. Considering this provision as impractical, it has been recommended to delete it with the approval of the departmental minister.
– Amendment will also be made in Madhya Pradesh Urban Areas Landless Persons (Provision of Leasehold Rights) Act, 1984. As of now, till December 31, 2014, there is a provision to give residential leases to the poor living on government land in urban areas. This period is being extended till 31 December 2020. This was announced by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recently.
Madhya Pradesh’s new budget will be presented in the cabinet
Madhya Pradesh’s budget for the financial year 2023-24 will be presented in the cabinet today. Special provisions have been made for women and youth in the budget of more than three lakh crore rupees. A substantial budget has been kept in the election year on other important subjects including Ladli Bahna Yojana, youth policy, housing scheme.
Gwalior rural will become new tehsil
Gwalior district currently consists of Lashkar, Murar and City Center tehsils. Due to the excess of work in the urban areas, the work in the rural areas is getting affected. In view of this, formation of Gwalior Rural Tehsil has been proposed. Similarly, the decision of 50 percent exemption in motor vehicle tax on the sale of automobiles in the Gwalior trade fair will be presented in the meeting for ratification.
