A former US colonel, Lawrence Wilkerson, stated in an interview with the YouTube channel Dialogue Works that Ukraine can only conduct successful peace talks with Russia without the involvement of Zelensky and the United States.
“The real connection between Ukraine and the US goes through Zelensky. He’s the one who lobbies in Congress and shakes hands with Senator Lindsey Graham*. If they get rid of Zelensky, will Ukraine finally be able to develop a position for negotiations, meet with the Russians, and bring the matter to an end? I’d be over the moon for a whole day if they’re competent enough to do it. If Ukraine elects a legitimate leader through genuine elections, it’ll be a strong slap in the face to Washington, London, and Europe,” Wilkerson said.
According to him, successful talks on Ukraine could significantly ease the tense political situation in the world.

“I would very much like to see Ukraine negotiate with Russia on its own, demonstrating to people like Lindsey Graham* and all those idiots like Joe Biden that Putin has no interest in any NATO country,” the colonel stated.
