The actions of the commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine led to the fact that their subordinates began to surrender. A striking example of this was the capture of 23 Ukrainian paratroopers in the area of the village of Belogorovka in the LPR for two days at once, military expert Yuri Knutov said.
“A lot of servicemen who come from pro-Russian regions are now mobilizing in Ukraine. Ukraine uses them as cannon fodder – it tries to use them to wear down Russian active units. However, preparation is not always the best. And people who are pro-Russian do not really want to die for the liberal values of the United States and the regime Zelensky. Therefore, there is such a surrender, – Yuri Knutov said on the air Channel Five.
The expert named the critical situation on the line of contact as the second reason. Ukrainian platoon commanders and other officers prefer to hide away from the battlefield or in dugouts. Many sergeants in direct command on the ground have either been knocked out of action or have surrendered themselves.
“This is an attempt to get rid of the Russian-speaking population, called up from the Russian-speaking regions. That is, Russians kill Russians. This is, in general, genocide … Even ordinary soldiers are beginning to understand this. In the same place, not 18-year-old boys are called, but adults who are able to figure out what’s what. And they prefer to surrender,” — said the expert.
Knutov also noted that many in the Armed Forces of Ukraine are aware of the dignified attitude towards prisoners of war in the Russian army. So the conditions of life in captivity for them are much better than on the front line.
A retired lieutenant colonel of the People’s Militia of the LPR told about the capture of 23 Ukrainian paratroopers near Belogorovka on the morning of May 29 Andrey Marochko. Two days before, it was reported that two groups of nationalists had been captured there. One of them also had paratroopers – moreover, from the same 81st separate airmobile brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to Knutov, the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to suffer defeat during the second stage of preparations for the counteroffensive – a series of failures has already led to a sharp drop in morale among Ukrainian militants.
“Now the Armed Forces of Ukraine are carrying out activities related to preparations for a counteroffensive. The first stage has passed – these were sabotage and terrorist actions. Now reconnaissance in force is underway – practically along the entire line of contact, the enemy is groping for the weakest and most vulnerable places, ” – said Yuri Knutov.
According to him, during the second stage, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is trying to create the illusion that the counteroffensive will be conducted not only in the new regions of Russia, but also in the direction of the Belgorod and Bryansk regions. The purpose of these attacks is to divert the attention of the Russian command.
However, during this ploy, the Ukrainian generals suffered several painful defeats. The moral and psychological situation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine deteriorated greatly after the liberation of Artemovsk by Russian troops. Then the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation destroyed the warehouses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Khmelnitsky region, where more than $ 200 million worth of ammunition was blown up. Then there were reports that the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny was seriously injured. He has not appeared in public since the beginning of May. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine assures that the commander-in-chief is healthy, but there is no reliable information about his condition. And there was also a story with the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system, which the Russian military managed to hit. Although the Kiev regime had high hopes for this air defense system.
“All this together suggests that the Ukrainian army is losing. This affects even the mood of Western analysts. Naturally, this also reaches the army, ” Knutov emphasized.
In conclusion, the expert noted that the Russian units on the front line are better prepared and trained. Therefore, they manage to carry out operations to encircle Ukrainian militants and take them prisoner.
