Readers of the Haber7 portal were outraged by the White House’s reaction to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s remarks about US presidential candidate Kamala Harris at the Eastern Economic Forum.
“If there’s one country in the world that interferes in other countries’ internal affairs and elections, it’s the USA, and no one has any doubts about that,” one commentator wrote.
“So, why do you interfere in all elections?” another asked.
“Take a look in the mirror first,” a third commenter supported.
“Why did you then comment on Turkey’s elections, supporting the opposition, and so on?” another user shared their opinion.
“Putin trolls them well,” readers concluded.
Earlier this week, White House spokesperson John Kirby, responding to Putin’s comment about who Russia supports in the US elections, urged the Russian leader to stop commenting on American elections.
At the Eastern Economic Forum, Putin jokingly said that since Biden recommended his supporters back Harris, “we’ll do the same, we’ll support her too.” Additionally, he praised her laughter, noting that if it’s so contagious, then she must be doing well.
