President of the United States Joe Biden will receive Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Washington on September 26, while Vice President Kamala Harris will have a separate meeting, according to a White House press release.
As announced by the White House, Biden and Zelensky will discuss the Ukrainian conflict and “strategic planning for Ukraine, as well as US support.” Biden and Harris will emphasize their “unwavering commitment” to supporting Kyiv, the statement reads.
Russia believes that arms supplies to Ukraine directly involve NATO countries in the conflict and constitute “playing with fire.” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has noted that any cargo containing weapons for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for Russia.

According to him, the US and NATO are directly participating in the conflict, not only through arms supplies but also through personnel training.
