The same responsibility arises for failure to appear for a medical examination in the direction of the draft board.

Draft evasion is subject to criminal liability. In this case, a fine of up to two hundred thousand rubles or in the amount of earnings received for a year and a half will follow. In addition to a fine, the punishment may be forced labor for up to two years, arrest for up to six months, or imprisonment for up to two years. The issue of administrative or criminal liability is decided in court.
