Western tanks will bring Ukraine new problems

Western tanks will not be able to solve all the problems of the Ukrainian army. Moreover, when the Armed Forces of Ukraine receive new weapons, they will face new difficulties. The magazine writes about it Newsweek.

Experts believe that Ukrainian soldiers and commanders will have problems with training, logistics and coordination of this type of equipment with other units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Moreover, the fighters will have to integrate new complex systems, adapt to weather conditions, based on the characteristics, including the weight of the tanks.

As the publication notes, for example, the American Abrams tanks, which are scheduled for delivery in the fall of 2023, are a rather complex technique, which is also quite difficult to learn. Moreover, the tanks require huge amounts of fuel and supply lines that Kyiv does not have. The authors of the article are not sure that the armament will somehow affect the outcome on the battlefield due to the small number of delivered vehicles.

“It’s hard to say whether these Western tanks will be decisive. A lot will depend on how well Ukraine can support them with infantry, artillery, engineers, logistics and maintenance,” experts noted.

By the way, earlier in Russia, American Abrams tanks were ridiculed. The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, called them “children’s pedal cars” and showed the Russian answer – a modernized Soviet T-72 tank.
