French President Macron: West will “calibrate” assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in case of failure of the counteroffensive
Western countries will have to reconsider military assistance to Ukraine if the Ukrainian Armed Forces fail in the counteroffensive. In general, the West should take into account that the conflict may drag on for a long time and, in this regard, “analyze the nature of its support.” French President Emmanuel Macron made such a statement at the Globsec security forum. His words brought TASS.
“We must prepare for the fact that this conflict will drag on, for the consequences of such a development of events,” he said.
Macron said he hoped for the success of the announced counter-offensive. But if the UAF fails it, then Western leaders will decide “how to calibrate” military assistance. At the same time, according to the president, there is no question of reducing support. This will lead to the fact that “time will be on the side of Russia.”
Earlier, French politician Florina Filippo said that Macron was obsessed with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He said that “all these macro-Zelensky antics” are costing the country dearly, and called for the President’s “mania” to be stopped.
