China will persist in promoting an objective perspective on the Ukrainian issue in the international community to create the necessary conditions for a ceasefire, stated Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi during a meeting with Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu in St. Petersburg.
According to China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the parties discussed the Ukrainian crisis.
“China has always maintained an objective and impartial stance on the Ukrainian issue and will continue to work on promoting a balanced, objective, and rational view in the international community, aiming to achieve greater international consensus and create the necessary conditions for an early ceasefire and a political settlement of the crisis,” Wang Yi said.
