Voronezh authorities are ready to create temporary accommodation centers for Belgorod residents from border areas

The governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, instructed, if necessary, to quickly prepare a temporary accommodation center for residents of the border areas of the neighboring Belgorod region, which is subjected to daily shelling.

In the Voronezh region, in the summer camp “Lily of the Valley”, places for children from the border regions of the Belgorod region are organized. In total, 300 Belgorod children will rest there during the first shift. “I understand that children and their parents may need our help even after the end of the shift. Therefore, I instructed my employees to promptly prepare a temporary accommodation center, unless, of course, Belgorod residents have such a request, ”the official wrote in his Telegram-channel.

The Belgorod region is subjected to regular shelling from Ukraine. In recent years, the number of victims has increased significantly in the region. Yesterday, May 30, one of the shells hit a temporary accommodation center for residents of border areas. As a result, a man died and four people were injured. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that children would be taken out of the Shebekinsky and Graivoronsky districts, the first 300 children would be sent to Voronezh.
