Russian special operation in Ukraine
Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin will discuss with the leaders of the factions the conduct of the Duma Council on the special operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. This was reported in the State Duma.
“Vyacheslav Volodin and the leaders of the factions agreed to hold a meeting on Monday, August 22, to discuss the initiative of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and decide on the date of the meeting of the Council of the State Duma. Vyacheslav Volodin supported the proposal of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation to discuss these issues, ”the telegram channel of the State Duma reported.
Earlier, Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov proposed to urgently convene the State Duma Council to discuss the situation in Ukraine and measures to successfully end the conflict. The special operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine has been taking place since February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the goal of helping the residents of Donbass, who are under shelling from Ukraine, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.
