The most popular and affordable destinations for recreation of citizens of the Russian Federation in the summer of this year were announced by the vice-president of the Russian Union of the Tourist Industry Yuri Barzykin. The expert shared the information on May 25, Thursday.
Increased interest on the part of Russians is observed in the states of the near abroad, he noted. Demand remains for travel to Abkhazia. Belarus remains an equally popular destination, the specialist added.
“The demand for holidays in Abkhazia is very high, it will take more than 1.3 million tourists, not counting sightseers,” said Barzykin.
Uzbekistan will most likely become a promising direction in the summer of 2023, the expert added. Moreover, charter flights to the Kazakh city of Aktau are expected to be launched in the near future, he concluded.
