The Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, will most likely run for a new term. Vedomosti reported this, citing three sources close to the presidential administration.
“Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov is highly likely to seek a new term, three sources close to the presidential administration said. Beglov, one of them said, will remain in his post in 2024. There are no obstacles to participating in the scheduled elections, which will be held on September 8,” the publication writes, citing unnamed interlocutors.
