Valve studio officially announced the release of Counter-Strike 2 in the summer of 2023

Valve Studio has published several videos dedicated to the game Counter-Strike 2. In addition, the release date was announced – summer 2023. Game footage appeared on the company’s official YouTube channel.

The developers claim that the gameplay will become more dynamic thanks to graphical improvements implemented on the Source 2 engine. In addition, now the smoke in the game looks more realistic, reacts to shots and explosions. Also, the engine allowed to improve the quality of lighting and make a believable rendering system that creates realistic textures.

Valve also talked about the processing of some cards. Closed testing of Counter-Strike 2 has already started.

“Counter-Strike 2 is a free CS:GO update coming out this summer. So gear up, hone your skills, and get ready for what’s to come!” — said in promo announcement.
