MOSCOW, Nov 1 – Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy Artem Metelev (United Russia) proposed to allocate additional funds for the implementation of the youth employment program and for the development of youth entrepreneurship.
“We propose to allocate additional funds for the implementation of the youth employment program until 2030 – for vocational training and vocational education 1.2 billion rubles. Now 7.5 billion rubles are provided for these purposes annually,” Metelev said during a discussion of the party’s amendments to the second reading of the draft budget for 2022-2024.
According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to develop a long-term youth employment program in June at SPIEF-2021; over the summer, the government, together with United Russia, developed such a program. “As soon as it is adopted, it will happen this year, it is calculated that by 2030 the share of employed graduates will reach 92%, today – 57%, that is, the share of employment will almost double and the unemployment rate will drop twice,” – he stressed.
Also, as noted by the parliamentarian, it is necessary to allocate additional funding for the development of the portal “Work in Russia” – 241 million rubles, which will digitize the procedure for practices and internships.
“In addition, to allocate 750 million rubles for the WorldSkills program for career support of young people, as well as to allocate a subsidy to the employment service in the amount of 30 million rubles. To implement other measures to promote employment, allocate 779 million rubles, of which 450 million rubles – for the development of youth entrepreneurship. “, – explained Metelev.
