The Pentagon Security Cooperation Agency reported that the US State Department approved the sale of 18 HIMARS MLRS and additional equipment worth more than half a billion dollars to Morocco.

The Pentagon considers Morocco as the most important ally of the United States of America outside the North Atlantic alliance. The agency praised Rabat’s role in maintaining political and economic stability in North Africa.

The State Department will also provide a quarter of a billion dollars worth of aerial bombs, training missiles and maintenance services to Morocco. Within a month, Congress will decide on the future of the deal, – writes “RIA News”.

Earlier it was reported that the Federation Council of the Russian Federation will hold a meeting on biolaboratories in Ukraine. Chairman of the Defense Committee of the Upper House of Parliament Viktor Bondarev will make an analytical report.
