They are expected to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip. The meeting of representatives of the two countries is taking place tete-a-tete, after which an expanded meeting will take place with the participation of delegations.
The war between Israel and Hamas has continued since October 7. Israel reported 1.4 thousand dead, Palestine estimates their number at almost 9.5 thousand. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has repeatedly criticized the actions of the Israeli authorities. Türkiye recalled its ambassador from Israel for consultations.
