Intense conflict continues in Yemen as US airstrikes targeted Houthi rebel positions for second consecutive day, raising the death toll to 53. In response, Houthi forces launched ballistic and cruise missiles at US warship in the Red Sea.

Washington vowed to continue its operations until attacks on ships in the Red Sea cease. The Houthis warned of retaliation vowing to strike back directly on American soil if attacks persist.

Recent US strikes targeted several sites, including a government complex in northern Al-Jawf province and a ship hijacked by Houthi forces in 2023 known as the Galaxy Leader. The US military claimed its strikes hit Houthi-controlled territories across seven provinces.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei voiced support for Yemen’s resistance, while Hamas and Kataib Hezbollah also expressed solidarity with the Houthis. Despite heavy strikes, Houthi rebels claimed they forced enemy warplanes to retreat following hours of conflict.
