The newspaper notes that US companies have lost polar routes, changed the number of flights, reduced the number of cargo and passengers. More than ten scheduled flights to Mumbai, Tokyo, Seoul and other cities have also been delayed.

The US industry is unhappy with the “unfair advantage” that Air India, Emirates and China Eastern Airlines are providing with shorter, more economical flights.

Thus, Airlines for America estimated the annual loss of market share at two billion dollars.

As reported IA REGNUMEarlier, US lawmakers called on the White House to “strongly and publicly dissuade individuals, citizens and permanent residents of the United States from flying over Russian territory,” as well as to ban officials from flying over Russian territory when they make official trips.
