UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric, commenting on the drone attacks on Moscow, said that the organization condemns any attacks against civilian and civilian infrastructure. At the same time, according to him, drone attacks on the Russian capital are incomparable with massive shelling of Ukrainian cities.
“We condemn any attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure, wherever they occur. It is also important to note that the latest attacks in Moscow are incomparable to the massive strikes that we continue to see in Ukrainian cities,” Dujarric said at the briefing.
Today, May 30, in the morning, Moscow and the Moscow region were attacked by drones. According to the Ministry of Defense, eight UAVs were involved in the attack, all of them were hit. Russia blamed Ukraine for the incident. Kyiv has not officially acknowledged its involvement. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that with such attacks, Ukraine provokes Russia to mirror actions. He believes that the attack was Kyiv’s response to Moscow’s strike on the Ukrainian intelligence headquarters.
