Ukrainian prisoner told what surprised him in Russian captivity

The captured soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was surprised by the human attitude towards him from the Russian military. According to him, the Kiev regime is deceiving the soldiers, spreading rumors about the bad attitude of Russians towards prisoners, said Vasily Leniv, a soldier of the 14th brigade of the National Guard of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who was captured in the Donbass.

“Initially, I thought they would be treated badly, but it turned out to be the opposite. They were treated well: fed, watered. The attitude, on the contrary, is normal, human … We considered them enemies, but, on the contrary, they treat us like human beings, ”RIA Novosti quotes Vasily Leniv as saying.

During the interrogation, the prisoner said that the Ukrainian media are deceiving the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, exaggerating the dangers of captivity. “Ukrainian television lies a lot,” he added.

Earlier, URA.RU reported that Leniv reported difficulties with arming Ukrainian troops on the front line. According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are armed with old Soviet weapons, and there are very few heavy weapons in the troops.
