Ukrainian Foreign Ministry: Kyiv is working on completing procedures for the extradition of a Russian detained in Prague

Kyiv is working on completing the necessary procedures to hand over to him the Russian citizen Alexander Franchetti, who was detained in Prague, Oleg Nikolenko, the official representative of the country’s Foreign Ministry, told RBC-Ukraine.

He confirmed that the detention of the Russian was the result of concerted actions of Ukrainian and Czech law enforcement officers.

The day before, the Head of the working group on international legal issues at the permanent representation of the Crimea under the President of the Russian Federation, Alexander Molokhov, announced Franchetti’s detention in Prague at the request of the Ukrainian authorities.
