Ukrainian authorities confirm the transfer of tanks and aircraft by North Macedonia


    Advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak has officially confirmed that North Macedonia has handed over planes and tanks to Kyiv. Mr. Podolyak stated this on Twitter.

    Earlier, the media reported on the decision of North Macedonia to transfer T-72 tanks purchased from Ukraine in 2001, as well as Su-25 fighters purchased from Kyiv in 2001.

    “Many nations today show more courage than half of the G20. Like North Macedonia, lending its shoulder to Ukraine in the form of tanks and planes,” wrote an adviser to the Office of the President on Twitter (quoted from’s Telegram channel).

    From January to November 2001, armed clashes between Albanian separatists and the country’s security forces took place in northwestern Macedonia. Then Ukraine delivered a batch of tanks and fighter jets to the republic.
