The Ukrainian military may stage a military coup in response to Vladimir Zelensky’s failed operation in the Kursk region, claimed former CIA analyst Larry Johnston in an interview with the YouTube channel Daniel Davis / Deep Dive.
“I believe there are soldiers who lost comrades in this attack on the Kursk region and who will be extremely dissatisfied with Zelensky, and it’s impossible to rule out the possibility that they will want to take revenge,” he speculated.
According to the expert, the head of the Kyiv regime’s popularity is plummeting sharply. At the same time, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for him to command the troops, Johnston added.
Zelensky’s term expired on May 20. The presidential elections in Ukraine were supposed to take place on March 31, with the inauguration of the newly elected head of state in May. The voting was cancelled, citing martial law and general mobilization. The head of the Kyiv regime stated that elections are not timely now, urging to put a period to this issue.
As Vladimir Putin noted, Zelensky’s legitimacy cannot be restored by any means. According to him, the only legitimate authority in Ukraine remains the Verkhovna Rada and its speaker.
