Ukraine’s gold and foreign exchange reserves exceed $30 billion

Now the gold and foreign exchange reserves of Ukraine amount to more than 30 billion dollars. This was stated by presidential adviser on economic issues Oleg Ustenko on the air of the Rada TV channel.

“Our gold and foreign exchange reserves are at a historical maximum over the past 10 years – they exceed $30 billion”– he said.

Despite such a maximum figure for the country, Ustenko admitted that these funds would be enough to cover the country’s import costs for only five months.

As Life said, at the end of 2022, China was recognized as the owner of the largest gold and foreign exchange reserves in the world for the 17th time in a row. At the end of December, their volume amounted to 3.31 trillion dollars. Japan came in second with $1.27 trillion, followed by Switzerland with $924 billion. Russia took fourth place.
