Ukraine will not let the vaccinated “Sputnik V”

Vaccination against coronavirus with the Russian drug “Sputnik V” will not give the right to enter Ukraine, according to the state border service of the country. The department explained that only those who were vaccinated with vaccines approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) will be allowed.

“Over the past two days, at the checkpoints across the state border of Ukraine, there have been cases when foreigners from abroad try to enter with documents on immunization with the Sputnik V vaccine. We emphasize that such a document does not give the right to enter Ukraine, since this vaccine is not included in the WHO list, ”says the website of the border service.

Since June 8, Ukraine has allowed foreigners vaccinated against coronavirus to enter the country. The border service clarified that we are talking about vaccines from Pfizer and BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Janssen (pharmaceutical division of Johnson & Johnson), Moderna, Sinopharm and Sinovac. WHO said it intends to provide a safety assessment for Sputnik V this summer.
