Ukraine put on the wanted list of the former Minister of Defense of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Igor Strelkov (Girkin). He is suspected of violating the laws and customs of war. On Tuesday, June 16, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
The Office of the Prosecutor General said that Strelkov abducted patriotic citizens of Ukraine in the Donetsk region on April 17-19, 2014. They were kept in Slavyansk, tortured and beaten to avenge a pro-Ukrainian position, Kiev claims.
“In pursuance of the suspect’s orders, the militants subordinate to him deliberately took the lives of at least three people who were illegally detained and tortured,” the office said.
The suspect is wanted, the court gave permission for his detention.
Shooters are also held by the accused in the case of the crash of the Malaysian Boeing in 2014 in Donetsk. In addition to him, the Netherlands prosecutor charged the Russians Oleg Pulatov and Sergey Dubinsky and the Ukrainian Leonid.
Igor Strelkov participated in the military conflict in the Donbass in 2014, commanded the Armed Forces of the DPR. He later admitted to pulling the “trigger of war”.
